Like a millions of people in this world I heard your speech. You are talking on behalf of our generation. As much I appreciate that, there were somethings I didn’t agree with, and I hope you understand my point. 

Greta, you have left school to travel the world and talk about climate change. There millions of children even never been to school.

You say your childhood was stolen … STOLEN ?!

When you grow up did you have food to eat, because a millions of children are dying from hunger. Did you have an water to drink? Millions of children are dying because they don’t have a clean water. 

You have to work to survive, millions of children droping out of school, because they have to work. 

You know how is like to go to school and have a proper education … some don’t have a toilet … millions of girls are droping out of school … because of lack of sanitation …

So, Greta, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT AT ALL TO COMPLAIN …

WHAT’S HAPPENED?

On 23rd of September, 2019 some of the most powerful adults on the planet gathered at the United Nations for a climate summit to discuss what to do about the crisis. More than 60 world leaders were set to speak at the conference. Still, the teens had a presence. One of the first speakers to address the group was none other than Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, who at 16 has inspired what appears to be…her entire generation.

Thunberg reads an opinion in which she accused world leaders at the UN Climate Action Summit of having stolen her childhood with their ‘empty words’.

Few hours later Thunberg announced that she and 14 of her peers had filed a suit against five of the world’s major carbon polluters for violating their rights. If it is successful, the U.N. would have to recognize the climate crisis as a children’s rights crisis.

The speech was a barn burner, and on social media the speech and the suit have found an even bigger audience. 

All the time so many stars around the world talk about Greta, incl. Mia Farrow and Maria Shriver. Even the host of 77th Golden Globes Ricky Gervais mentioned her on 5th of December, 2020: 

“So if you do win an award tonight, don’t use it as a platform to make a political speech. You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg.”

BUT, there aren’t all that many willing, to would dare to stand up and confront the popular climate change activist directly. As one of her peers did – one ordinary girl Philipa Nikolova!

Greta Thunberg was born on 3 January 2003 in Stockholm in rich family, the daughter of opera singer Malena Ernman and actor Svante Thunberg. Her paternal grandfather is actor and director Olof Thunberg. Stockholm is the cultural, media, political, and economic centre of Sweden. The Stockholm region alone accounts for over a third of the country’s GDP, and is among the top 10 regions in Europe by GDP per capita ($55,000 for Sweden, one of the TOP in the world, according UN).

Sweden is the 16th-richest country and the 4th-most competitive economy in the world in terms of GDP (gross domestic product) per capita and a high standard of living is experienced by its citizens. School lunch is free for all students in Sweden. 76% of citizens responded that “they believe there is some sort of spirit or life force” or “they do not believe there is any sort of God”.
